On the Lack and Response of Consideration About Women Demands in Urban Planning from the Perspective of Feminism

Abstract:

At present, women demands are generally neglected in the study of urban planning in China. Based on a brief introduction of feminism, this paper analyzes the lack of consideration about women demands in China’s urban planning from the following aspects: Road and traffic planning, public facilities planning and design, as well as communication and leisure space design. In addition, a series of measures are put forward according to these situations.
