When it comes into the post-industrial era, the function connotation of metropolitan multicenter has been changed substantially that from the homogeneous consumer services as leading function, shift to the division of
production services as the leading function. The purpose of this study is to discuss the phenomenon of metropolitan multicenter division and its effect mechanism from the perspective of finance. The research method is the empirical analysis, and taking Shanghai as a case study. In the part of phenomenon analysis, through the anatomy of financial services production chain, four types of financial function which can be separated and agglomerated in metropolitan are pointed out: management decision-making, production innovation, service and technical support. In the part of the mechanism discussion, it points out that the financial deepening division of labor is the basic power of formation and development of multicenter phenomenon. And the financial policy, manufacturing industry of city shifted and agglomeration in suburbs and historical factors also plays very important roles in the multicenter forming process. |
