Abstract： |
GeoDesign is a new concept in the field of planning and design. It aims to develop a design framework which can fully consider the relationship between design and environment. GeoDesign is becoming a popular topic in many international academic conferences and literatures, however less attention is paid to it in China. In this paper, a general review of the origin, concepts, research issues and practices of GeoDesign is presented. In this sense, conclusion is drawn that GeoDesign in China will confront with two main challenges: planning management and technology application. Finally, suggestions are given for its future development. |
