Research on the Construction of Indemnificatory Housing and Its Social-spatial Effects: Case Study of Typical Settlements in Nanjing
Zhang Jingxiang, Li A’meng

Abstract:

At present, China‘s cities are vigorously accelerating the pace of building indemnificatory housing. However, not all of the construction modes could effectively solve the housing problem of lowincome people. This paper reveals the positive and negative effects of the construction of indemnificatory housing on the urban social space evolution based on the case study of Nanjing, rethinks the problems applying the space production theory, and puts forward recommendations through learning from international advanced experience.
