Quality of Life Oriented Urban Planning: The Significance and Characteristics

Abstract:

In accordance with the “peopleoriented“ development concept, human development and enhancement of quality of life are keys to its implementation. Quality of life is related to a wide range of aspects of social life. Therefore, to construct a quality-of-life indicator system that reflects its multi-dimensional characteristics will provide significant guidance on urban planning. Quality-of-life oriented urban planning is aimed to improve the well-being and sustainability of society. It emphasizes the real needs of the grassroot class, more focus on social
quality, attention to the differences in different groups, and in-depth social participation.
