摘　要：

地理设计是规划与设计领域出现的一个新概念，其目的是形成一套充分考虑设计与环境相互关系的规划设计体系。近年来许多国际学术会议和文献中关于地理设计的讨论日趋增加，而国内对它的关注还不多。本文综述了地理设计的起源、定义、研究内容与实践，提出地理设计在中国的发展将面临规划管理和技术应用两方面的挑战，并给出了未来发展建议。

Abstract：

GeoDesign is a new concept in the field of planning and design. It aims to develop a design framework which can fully consider the relationship between design and environment. GeoDesign is becoming a popular topic in many international academic conferences and literatures, however less attention is paid to it in China. In this paper, a general review of the origin, concepts, research issues and practices of GeoDesign is presented. In this sense, conclusion is drawn that GeoDesign in China will confront with two main challenges: planning management and technology application. Finally, suggestions are given for its future development.
